Before joining Keesing over three years ago, Claire Bourdillon’s background was in book publishing but not on actual development. “With this role, I’m involved in product creation. And during my interview, I felt very at ease with the people,” she says. “Since joining Keesing I’ve been able to quickly make an impact across an international environment.”
One of the challenges Claire overcame was to launch a new product line. “I wanted to find an ideal partner with the Guide du routard travel book brand. When people are on holiday, they like to play puzzles. It was a great opportunity for us and now these travel puzzles have become one of our best sellers.” She also likes Keesing’s diverse culture. “I work within an international environment to create products for the French puzzle market and foreign ones, too. I hadn’t done this before but enjoy working with a team in Amsterdam to imagine new products that will fit other countries as well as France.”
People are the heart of Keesing and one of the reasons Claire enjoys working for the company. “We’re all very passionate about our jobs as well as creating great products. We work in small teams and know each other well in an environment that encourages discussions with each other at all levels of the company.”

In her role as Product Manager, Claire has a helicopter view of the variety of Keesing brands produced in France and beyond. “I’m involved in every part of the production process, which gives me a nice overview of the company and opportunity to work on many different products.” Claire works with teams from every department, from editors to production and sales teams to decide which products will do well and appeal the most to puzzle players.
With a new baby to take care of, Claire doesn’t have a lot of free time on her hands. She used to enjoy visiting museums or taking walks through Paris to appreciate its unique architecture. “It’s one of the best cities in the world.” If you ask Claire why you should join Keesing, she says, “You can create your own opportunities at Keesing.
