Keesing Media Group announced its first acquisition since BC Partners acquired the company from Ergon Capital in
January 2021.

Since going independent in September 2017, Keesing is pressing ahead with its growth strategy. The company has been involved in ten takeovers that, together with the print portfolio growth and the rollout of a digital strategy, have driven the company’s continued expansion.

Today Keesing acquired Ediciones Pleyades in Madrid. The company is also actively in Latin America and sells its products to Chili, Mexico, Uruguay and Argentine.

Philip Alberdingk Thijm, CEO Keesing Media Group on this acquisition:
“It is fantastic we are able to further expand in spite of these challenging times. The portfolio of Pleyades is a great addition to our Spanish titles. With this acquisition we consolidate our No. 1 position in Spain”. The Pleyades activities will be integrated in the existing Spanish operation of Keesing in Madrid.
