The role

As a  Business Intelligence Analist  you are the linchpin in the team regarding numbers and analysis.  You are responsible for making strategic analysis and creating dashboards and reports.  The interpretation of your analysis will lead to insight and action and to show commercial opportunities. In this role you are part of the Business Intelligence department and you will work closely with international sales and operations. Your most important responsibilities will be:

  • Creating reports and analysis for the sales in the countries where Keesing is operating and for different titles;
  • Creating and validate sales prediction models for sales budgets of different countries and for different channels (eg single copy sales, subscriptions,  BtB,  E-commerce);
  • Pricing: pricing models, price elasticity research, pricing analysis.
  • Signal trends  in  the  market and from competitors and propose changes in commercial policies;
  • Analysis of marketing actions and recommendations for optimization;
  • Collecting interna land external data within the datawarehouse and maintain contact  with distributors  and sales managers;
  • Development of new analysis and development of dashboards for management information

 

In this position you will report to the Manager  Business Intelligence.

 

Profile

  • You have a higher professional education or university eg Economics, Business science, Business computer science, Econometrics. But also medical or social studies could be a good match. At least a study where data  and quantitative analysis play an important role;
  • You are curious and are willing to really understand the business issues. You can explain complex technical matters in a simple way also to people who are less data-savvy. Complex issues are for you the cherry on the cake and are a challenge that you are willing to accept together with other people;
  • You have at least 3 years of experience as a BI analist preferably in the Retail, Media or FMCG industry;
  • Experience with modelling;
  • Preferably experience with pricing;
  • Preferably experience with business intelligence-tools  like Power  BI,  QlikView  or  Tableau;
  • Very experienced with excel;
  • Good SQL skills;
  • Great analytical skills;
  • You work accurately and results driven;
  • Very good communicative skills (Dutch and English);
  • If you have affinity with puzzles and digital media, that would be great!
