In 1911, exactly 100 years ago, Keesing was founded by the Amsterdam journalist Isaäc Keesing. Since its establishment and until 2004, Keesing had been a family company. In 2004, NPM-Capital, which had a minority intrest, took over all the shares of the Keesing family. In 2006, Keesing was purchased by TMG (Telegraaf Media Group).
