Keesing Danmark, official since 1997
Keesing Danmark is the result of a merger between two previous competitors on the Danish market for crossword puzzle magazines, POB (Pressens Opgave Bureau) and Deres Forlag. POB was founded in 1968 and started publishing several magazines, one of which is the oldest one still in print in Denmark, Spar To. POB also sold puzzles to many popular womens and newsmagazines.
Deres Forlag, founded in 1970, meanwhile specialized in crossword puzzles for children and magazines with very challenging and difficult puzzles.
In 1997 POB was acquired by the Keesing corporation, who later also bought Deres Forlag and merged the two companies.
Market leader
Keesing Danmark now publishes more than twenty different magazines, covering a wide variety of entertaining puzzles for people of all ages - beginners and experts alike.Today Keesing Danmark is therefore market leader in puzzle magazines for children as well as for magazines with sudokus and other logical puzzles. In addition Keesing Danmark still produces puzzles of all kinds for a large number of Danish media, magazines and newspapers.
